Mastering digital: a toolkit for marketing books in Aotearoa – sector training programme begins

Thank you to all those who applied for the book sector digital marketing training — Mastering digital: a toolkit for marketing books in Aotearoa.

We received a high number of applications and, last month, an independent panel met and selected the participants for the 20 available places. Making this selection was a difficult task and the panel noted that each application had merit. They also highlighted that encouraging collaboration and connection within the sector through this training will be vital to lifting the capacity of the sector as a whole.

Online training materials for the course will be made available to all Coalition members in 2024

In 2024, at the conclusion of the initial course, The Coalition will work with course provider The Classroom to make a suite of online training materials available to all our members.

We will also work with course participants to offer broader sector mentor opportunities to the sector as a whole to share knowledge.

The participants selected for this year’s in person programme, represent a broad variety of book sector organisations including booksellers, publishers, festivals and library and sector organisations. The course commences on the 16th of November.
